DJI Mavic Air 2 Melting Battery Problem

Good day everyone, I just want to share with you guys this recent problem that some of the DJI Mavic Air 2 users are experiencing right now. It’s the melting of the battery during flight, all on the same spot. What causes this issue?

We never know but I hope DJI will fix this problem. I don’t know though if it could be fixed via firmware update or they should replace all defective batteries hassle free. I first saw these issues on Mavic Air 2 International Facebook Group. Some users said that it is because of the skin attached to the drone and the battery but some users they were flying the drone with a skin on it without any problem. Another possible cause is the wind temperature but one of the users who have experienced this issue said that its about 70F or 21C and that is way too cold for the battery to melt down.

Another theory is that the prints on the DJI logo on the battery has two different colors, white and grey, and some said that they were both manufactured by different institutions and some said that it only occurred on white printed DJI logo on the battery but when I Googled this problem, I saw some guy who posted in DJI Forum with the grey print.

One thing is for sure though, we can never tell who will get affected by this dangerous error on the battery. It is indeed dangerous since while on flight, maybe your battery will bog down and just drop your drone from the sky. I just hope that DJI will recognize this problem and help us users fix this problem so it won’t affect more Mavic Air 2 owners in the near future!
