DJI have just released on Android
and iOS the update for the DJI Fly App. As we all know, DJI Fly App is I think
on its adolescent phase and the more mature app that DJI released is the DJI Go
4. But there’s always a room for improvement for the DJI Fly App. Anyway, the
newly released update which is the version 1.1.6 features an updated display
logic for the battery and flight time alerts. For me, the older version of the
battery display is more helpful since we can monitor the temperature of each
cell inside the battery. But who knows, maybe DJI will put it back someday.

Also, what’s new on the update is the Advanced Gimbal Settings wherein you can
adjust the Yaw Speed, Yaw Smoothness, Pitch Speed and Pitch Smoothness for each of the flight modes (Tripod,
Normal and Sport Mode). With the Advanced Gimbal Settings, you can now have
that cinematic video you always wanted with a simple tweak on the settings.

What features do you like to see on the future updates? For me, what I would like most to be added on the DJI Fly App is the ability to stream live your video to Facebook just like the other DJI models. My old DJI Mavic Air has this feature though it was released 2 years ago. Also, I would like them to add saving Waypoint missions under hyperlapse.

With that, you can actually make a hyperlapse on the same route for
like how many consecutive days. At least the Litchi app has it but
unfortunately, Mavic Air 2 is still new to the market and DJI hasn’t released
its SDK yet. How about you? What features do you like them to add on the future
updates of DJI Fly App? Comment down below and let’s discuss it!
